From the gofundme: January 28th, 2025by Brina Wingo

Wanted to update everyone on Mike’s progress: he’s healing well from surgery and even got his staples out today! Mike has been overwhelmed with the amount of support he’s received from friends, family, and even complete strangers. Many of us in his friend group have been spending a lot of time with him in his home, and it has come to our attention that there are quite a few things that need to be addressed in order to accommodate the long term care Mike will need. All of it is a higher cost than anticipated. As such, we have increased the goal to try and help mitigate these expenses. We want to make sure Mike is in the safest and most comfortable place possible while he undergoes some very intense treatment. If you have already given, please continue to spread the word. Mike and his family are absolutely stunned at the amount of generosity you have all shown thus far. Every little bit is a so so appreciated!
